Customizing in-meeting UI and controls

The stack can be customized by the application so that the application can control the pre-meeting and in-meeting behavior. Once you launch the start/join zoom meeting from your app, the stack will launch the Zoom in-meeting UI. The following elements of that UI are customizable:

  • Meeting title and id (app can display a different id and not the real zoom meeting id here)
  • Logo
  • Set window position of the in-meeting UI
  • Show/hide top and bottom tool bars
  • Pre-meeting controls to customize meeting entry (mute audio/video etc.)
  • Functions to control screen share/remote controls/annotation
  • Functions to switch from active speaker video/video wall etc.
  • Layout – The stack supports two layouts and the app can select a specific layout

The app can get the view (of meeting UI) and set the position so that the in-meeting UI can be positioned in one place in the screen and the app can display other data in the rest of the screen real estate.

Note that the meeting UI will show a “Powered by Zoom” logo in the bottom title bar – please contact Zoom sales if you would like to have the logo removed.

In meeting layout

We support two different layout formats when sharing the screen.

The default format is:

The default format can be changed to the following:

you can configure  the behavior by turning on/off with the “Hide Thumbnail Video” option in SDK:

The stack currently supports the following languages – US English, Japanese, French, German, Spanish, Chinese Simplified and Chinese Traditional. You can localize the stack to other languages by translating the strings provided in resource file. Long translated strings might impact the UI and that needs to be taken into consideration while doing the translations.
